The Texas Custodial Trust is committed to the remediation of the Site and to working with the surrounding community and stakeholders. As part of our stakeholder outreach efforts we are dedicated to maintaining a website that has the most current and up-to-date site information. Please note that there have been new website updates and some new site activities. These include:
- Facility Demolition Bid Update
Bid packages for the site-wide facility demolition were issued to the 6 pre-selected Bidders in late 2010 and were due at the end of January. The Contractor selection process will take place in February and the selected Contractor is anticipated to be announced in early March. The 6 pre-selected bidders include:
- Bierlein Companies, Inc.
- Brandenburg Industrial Service Company
- CST Environmental, LP
- DH Griffin of Texas, Inc.
- LVI Environmental Services
- WRScompass
Companies that were not selected as a candidate prime contractor in the bidding process may still be eligible to conduct work as a subcontractor to the successful prime contractor.
- Contop/Reverb Asset Recovery
The Contop and Reverb matte has been accessed and removal of the matte has begun. The matte is being kept on site until negotiations with a purchaser are completed. More information regarding the transportation and disposition of the recovered metals assets will be provided as final agreements are in place. - Additional Asset Sales
We are continuing to market all Site assets. Scrap ferrous materials readily accessible on site are being removed, after decontamination at the Site. Money generated by the sale of scrap materials goes directly to fund cleanup and remedial action of the Site. Please view the âAssetsâ tab of the website for a specific list of items that have been sold.
