It would be a great shame to take down the smoke stacks that have become an integral part of the
El Paso landscape and history. My father painted the large striped stack and it saddens me to think of its demolish. There should be a way to incorporate it,(as was done in San Antonio with theirs), as part of the landscape as a tribute to its history and all those that were part of the Asarco family; like my father who retired from there after twenty four years of service. Leave it alone please.
