The Draft Demolition Plan for the Former ASARCO Smelter Site Is Now Available

The Texas Custodial Trust is committed to the remediation of the Site and to working with the surrounding community and stakeholders. As part of our stakeholder outreach efforts we are dedicated to maintaining a website that has the most current and up-to-date site information. Please note that there have been new website updates and some new site activities. These include:

1. Draft Chimney Demolition Plan

   The current Draft Chimney Demolition Plan is available for review on www.RecastingtheSmelter.com. This plan has been submitted to TCEQ, U.S. EPA, the City of El Paso and IBWC. Departments of the City include the Police Department, Fire Department and Emergency Services.

   The stack demolition is scheduled for the morning of April 13, 2013.
